Day One

I decided today was the day. I woke up with a new sense of determination. I was going to lose weight now so I won't feel horrified about getting into a bathing suit in August, when I'm planning to go away.

I started the day off perfectly. A coffee for breakfast. Six walnuts (they are supposed to reduce your appetite) a little later when I started to feel a little hungry. Then a cup of green tea. For lunch, a small can of tuna and eight Ritz crackers. So far so good. Maybe I can do this. Six almonds this time when I start feeling hungry again.

Dinner time, I start to feel my determination wavering. The kids want sausage for dinner-uh oh. It's ok. I'll just have one sausage and no bread. Well, one sausage turned into two, but I didn't have any bread. The kids wanted ice cream for dessert. That's when I totally lost it. I had a root beer float. It tasted sooo good. But I felt totally defeated. So I drowned my sorrows with some frozen chicken wings and a side of ranch dressing.

Thanks for inviting me to review your dietary recall. Attached is my website and a Dietary Meal Plan Link that you can use to help you achieve a healty weightloss.
Feel free to navigate my website as there are healthy pieces of advice eat each link in assisting with a healthier body, because of palate transformation.

First you need to identify what your weight should be. As a woman this would mean 100 pounds + add five lb's for each inch of height. 5'6" would give you a desireable weight of 130 lb's for average bone structure. However, you can allow a 10% increase so that at 5'6" your ideal weight can be between 130-145 lb's and still be within your BMI recommendations.
For a man the start point is 105 lb's plus 6 lb's per inch of height.
If you are above this alotted amount try to reduce your weight by 10% at a time until you reach your goal losing NO MORE than 1-2 pounds a week. Otherwise, you will gain ALL the weight back. If your 5'6" and weigh 160 lb's your goal weightloss would be 16 lb's. It would take between 8-12 weeks to lose the weight and keep it off.

After reviewing your dietary recall there are several changes that need to be made.
Eat 5-6 small meals in a day. Consisting of 4 fruits and 5 vegetables. Consume 4-6 servings of whole grain breads, pasta or rice. Read the nutrition label to make sure that you are consuming the exact serving. You need 4-6 ounces of lean meat, chicken or fish for your protein and approx 1/4 c. fat in your diet such as extra virgin olive oil, canola, peanut or avocado. Lastly, drink 6-8 glasses of fluid a day. 64 fl. oz or 2 liters.

About your dietary recall.
EAT MORE!!!!!
Your metablisim is crashing and you are having spikes and crashes with your blood glucose putting you at risk for hypoglycemia. Your body has gone into survival mode and will hang onto everything it can to keep it functioning throughout the day. As a mother I can tell you that, you need to keep your energy up!

You need to get rid of the crackers, cookies and popcorn. All are high in sodium (salt) and saturated fats some even still have trans fats.

You can eat 1 ounce of nuts a day, which are about 28-30 pieces.
Yogurt is fine but must be low or non fat. DO YOU REALLY want me to say anything about the SAUSAGE???
It's high in sodium and saturated fat. Instead, choose Laura's beef which is 96%-98% lean. Better yet enjoy broild or grilled salmon, tilapia or other fish, which will give you protein and the Omega 3-6 fats necessary for brain power, vessel elasticity reduced inflammation and weightloss.

Best of Luck!

Thanks for inviting me to review your dietary reacall. Here is some additional Fun Food Philosophy for your to enjoy on your way to a Healthier YOU!

It's been proven that healthy fats, protein and rich carbs (i.e. vegetables, fruits and whole grains), stimulate an orexigenic gastric hormone called "ghrelin". You may not notice the satiety immediately, but your subsequent munching will slow down, as an increased amount of the ghrelin hormone has been released into your stomach. Additionally, eating "VEGETABLES" is the quickest and healthiest way to lose weight!

If you first fill up on: sandwiches, chips and dip, fries, or dessert a reduced amount of ghrelin is released and consequently you overeat. That means getting full with too many unnecessary calories, which turn into fat within 24 hours if they are not utilized.
